Farewell to Provo

We are now officially moved out.  What a whirlwind!!! We found out about our move on the 27th of December.  It is the 18th of January. Less than three weeks!! I cannot believe we managed to get everything packed, wrapped, sorted, stored, chucked, cleaned, buffed, swept, wiped, etc. in that amount of time. It would not have happened if we hadn’t had help from so many lovely and wonderful people.  (Including my saintly mother who deep-cleaned the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room. The dirtiest and most time-consuming rooms.)

I think I might sleep for the next three days straight.  That sounds really good right about now.

For so long it felt like we would never get out of Provo.  But, now that it’s here, I feel sad and nostalgic. We have lived here for the duration of our marriage (except for a 2-month internship in San Francisco/ San Jose).  And it has been a wonderful place to call home and raise our kids.  We will greatly miss the friends that we have made here.  And of course, the family that we leave behind.  But ultimately, it makes me realize that, as cliché as it may be, Home really is where my little family is.
