Turkey Creek Nature Trail (Jan. 13)

We had some cabin fever to cure. Fortunately, the weather was good. And I had a plan.

So, off we went. We drove to Niceville to walk the Turkey Creek Nature Trail. (Niceville. Isn’t that a great name for a town?)

So, I have a thing for boardwalks. That alone was enough to make me happy. But truly, it was a lovely spot; very peaceful.

Obviously, it is January, so it is not quite as lush as it would be at other times of the year, but it was still beautiful. And it was so good to get out of the house and into nature.

Along the way are several swimming docks. The kids begged me to bring them back so they could swim. Honestly, they are nuts.

For me, one of the big highlights (besides the boardwalk, was that we saw a cute little turtle. In situ. It made us all so happy;

When we returned to the park and parking lot (It is 2-mile out and back trail) we had lunch (with our sweet bento boxes) and then we headed home.

And when I got home, since I’m such a party animal, I bought a toll-transponder. #partyanimal

That was just what we needed.
